There are three stages that a candidate needs to qualify to get recruited as an Administrative Officer is as follows:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Examination
- Descriptive Test
Preliminary Examination will be conducted online. It is an Objective Test of 100 marks. This test will have three sections with a duration of 1 hour.

- Candidates will have to qualify in each test by securing passing marks which is decided by the Company.
- The adequate number of candidates in each category will be approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability.
- These candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Mains: Phase II
Main Examination will have Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks. Both these tests will be conducted Online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test on the computer. Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after completion of Objective Test.
(i) Objective Test:
The Objective Test of 2 hours duration will consist of 4 sections for Generalists and 5 sections of Specialists for total 200 marks.

(ii) Descriptive Test
- The Descriptive Test will be of 30 minutes duration.
- It will consist of 30 marks & will be a Test of English Language with the following sections.
- Letter Writing – 10 marks
- Essay – 20 marks
- The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted online.
Selection Procedure for the Interview
- Each candidate will have to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately for getting short listed for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview.
- The evaluation of the Descriptive answer script will be only for the candidates who qualify the objective test and score high.
- Cut-offs will be decided for Descriptive paper evaluation depending on the number of vacancies available.
- Each candidate will have to obtain a minimum total score in the objective test & main examination and will have to qualify the Descriptive Test for getting short-listed for the interview.
